Indoor Hockey 2026: Junior Indoor Program
Mondays 4.45pm – 6pm (set up from 4.30pm) from 5 October – 30 November (including the day before Melbourne Cup).
The venue is the Harcourt Valley Primary School (access the gymnasium via Mills Road, Harcourt).
Who is it for:
- Juniors aged 5 – 12
- All skill levels welcome, including complete beginners
- Players must be Hockey Australia / Hockey Victoria registered members (additional charges apply). Contact us for more details.
What to expect:
- Indoor games played with our coaches
- No substitutes/interchange – we’ll accommodate everyone playing
- No scores or ladders will be kept – the focus is on positive player experiences and respect for all involved
- No goalkeepers (we may have the opportunity to change our structure and learn from special guests, including goalkeeping, some weeks)
- No structured match play when the stadium temperature reaches 36+ degrees – free play only
- This program will be run in a positive and fun spirit, with sportsmanship as the priority – the way our sport should be played
What to bring:
- Top in your team colour (and where possible, socks in the same colour)
- Water bottle
- Sports shoes
- Mouthguard
- Shin pads (recommended)
- Hockey stick (if you have one, otherwise you can borrow one)

The playing adult supports a positive player experience by distributing the ball to include all players and sharing around who takes the free pass.
Session structure
| 4:30pm | Set up – all adults to assist with sweeping the court, positioning rebound sideline boards and goals |
| 4:45pm | Warm-up free play and allocate playing positions |
| 5:00pm | 3 x 5 minute period match play rotations: White v Black, Black v Blue/Green, Blue/Green v White |
| 5:20pm | 3 x 5 minute period match play rotations: White v Black, Black v Blue/Green, Blue/Green v White |
| 5:40pm | 3 x 5 minute period match play rotations: White v Black, Black v Blue/Green, Blue/Green v White |
Costs
- $75 per player for nine weeks
- $50 for five weeks, with a $25 upgrade option
- Payment must be made prior to the program starting
- The club will upgrade memberships / event fees through the club portal as needed – you will receive this via email if applicable

- In stock and available for purchase: Beanies/Caps $25, Hockey Socks $20
- And club singlets, hoodies and jackets will be available for purchase during October for delivery before Christmas
